Just under 2 hours drive from Montreal is the Eastern Townships region. The Eastern Townships Wine Route is well known and attracts thousands of visitors every year, whether by car or bicycle. A little less known circuit of the region is the Route des Bières. This circuit, currently visiting four microbreweries, will take you to three cities in the Eastern Townships where you will be able to sample local beers.

The Eastern Townships Route des Bières is also accessible by bus. You can reserve your tickets on larouteedesbieres.ca. This is a group tour of about 8 hours departing from Montreal in a luxury minibus and includes 4 tastings at each of the microbreweries visited. In addition, you will receive a passeport for the Eastern Townships Route des Bières and exclusive promotional offers from the brewers visited.

Farnham Ale & Lager: Recognized by their visually appealing packaging, the beers from the Farnham Ale & Lager microbrewery are labeled according to their degree of bitterness. Check the opening hours before you visit to be able to tour their facilities and enjoy their products on the terrace that is opened in summer.

Brasserie Dunham: It occupies the historic building of the Relais de la Diligence, where the restaurant La Table Fermière and the boutique-hostel BOHO Dunham are also located. The beers of Dunham Brewery are verry hopped, are made from local ingredients as are the dishes served at La Table Fermière.

Microbrasserie À l'Abordage: Located in a historic building dating back to 1843, A l'Abordage offers American and English-inspired beers and offers the opportunity to enjoy a brew pub dish. As the brewery is equipped with windows so you can observe the work of the artisan brewers at work.

L’Auberge Sutton Brouërie: At the same time inn, pub and brewery, La Brouërie offers beer lovers mixtures containing wild yeasts Brettanomyces. These yeasts produce a beer with a strong taste, but that can still appeal to a wide range of beer lovers.
